The Eagle's Nest area of the Bisti Wilderness

  Things You Should Know

Gear:

  • Digtal SLR or advanced point and shoot camera.
  • A selection of lenses (wide angle to telephoto)
  • A sturdy tripod.
  • Filters (circular polarizer, graduated neutral density).

Fitness

As noted in the descriptions, these tours involve some strenuous exercise under pack at a mile or more above sea level. You should be in a physical condition that allows for this.
If you have a medical condition that limits the amount of physical stress you are capable of, consult with your physician before scheduling a tour.

Transportation, Food and Lodging

Transportation, food and lodging are your responsibility. I will lead you to the locations, and help with some suggestions concerning composition or technical matters. You will also be responsible for carrying all of your gear, and enough food and water to last for the duration of the tour.

Navigation

Most of these tours are in trackless wilderness. I will guide you to the photo locations and back to your vehicles. You should bring a GPS with tracking and waypoint capabilities, and you should be familiar with these features. In the unlikely event that you become separated from the group you would have to use your GPS to find your way back to your vehicle.

I will be in charge of the tour at all times. I will make all decisions concerning how far we go and turn around times. This is necessary in order for everyone to have a safe and pleasant experience.

Scheduling and Reserving a Tour

I schedule tours on a first come, first served basis. I will make every attempt to accommodate your schedule, but if I already have a tour scheduled on the day you wish to reserve, or if I have a shoot scheduled, you will have to choose another date.

I recommend that you contact me at least two-four weeks in advance to reserve your date. A 50% down payment will be required at the time you schedule a tour. You can use the Pay Pal links on each tour's page to make this payment. You can use your Pay Pal acount or a credit card. The balance of the payment can be made by personal check on the morning of the tour.
